Covers Handling and health checking, preparation brushing out bathing and drying.

Including a 10 hour CPD Accredited on-line first aid course.

We aim to each 4 techniques clipping, scissoring, hand striping and grooming out. You will be taught the basic head, body, tail and ear shapes that will cover most of pet styles.

By the end of this course you will be confident in styling and finishing but would aim to improve your speed.

In the 25 day course you will receive: -

You will also gain a recognised qualification.

This course is designed for those students who wish to complete both Level 2 and Level 3 qualification together. It is designed for those students have a career in professional dog grooming. You will cover a variety of styles and techniques which will enable you to groom all types of pet dogs.

Including a 10 hour CPD Accredited on-line first aid course.

Open College Network Qualification. O.C.N. Level 3.

For those who are working within the industry and have the training and experience to a Level 2 standard and would like to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

(A minimum of 6 month full time assistant status within the industry is required and a witness statement).

4 day City & Guilds Level 3 7863-03 Dog Grooming Diploma

For those students who already hold a Level 2 qualification 77/7863-02 and have a minimum of 6 months full time grooming experience.

(An evidence portfolio will be required for recognition of prior learning)

O.C.N. 4 day Level 3

The Open Learning Courses are designed for those students who are already working within the industry and who have completed their Level 2 qualification.

These students will be competent dog groomers and be able to groom a dog in a breed standard trim in suitable timescale.

You will be required to put together a portfolio of evidence. Proof of working within the industry and certificate will be need for this course.

All prices include VAT where applicable

Course times are 9.30AM to 3/4PM Monday to Friday.

Please come with suitable attire, jeans, t-shirt and flat closed in shoes.

All trainees have access to the Dee for Dogs Trainee page on Facebook which give you help and support at all time.

All students are encouraged to build a portfolio of their work, including groom outlines health checks and photographs.

We have full internet access if you would like to use some of your time to revise.

Personnel Protective Equipment P.P.E. will be available to all trainees.

We have a kitchen area where trainees can prepare food and drink. Fridge, kettle toaster and microwave are all available to use.
